
More Than Just a Warm Bathroom
Most people see those infrared lamps in the bathroom and think, “Oh, it’s just a heater.” But there’s a lot more going on under the hood. We didn’t build these just to keep you from shivering after a shower. We built them to fight the things you don’t want in your bathroom—like damp walls and that stubborn mold that loves to grow in the grout.
How it actually works
Think about a regular space heater. It warms up the air. The problem? That warm air often hits a cold wall and turns right back into condensation. It’s a cycle that never ends. Our lamps do things differently. They use short-wave radiation that goes straight for the surface. It sinks into the tiles and the grout, warming them up from the inside out. Once the wall is warm enough, water simply can’t cling to it. It evaporates almost instantly. And since mold needs a damp home to survive, it basically has nowhere to live. It’s a quiet, hands-off way to keep your bathroom dry.
Built for the steam
Bathrooms are brutal on electronics. Between the steam and the splashes, things short out fast. That’s why we use sealed quartz envelopes and gaskets that actually keep the moisture out. We also packed these with high wattage. Why? Because the heat needs to hit the walls fast to be effective. One quick tip: make sure your bathroom fan is actually working. If there’s zero airflow, that evaporated water just hangs out in the air and eventually settles on your ceiling. You’ve got to give the steam an exit.
Getting it installed
We made these as simple drop-in replacements. The connectors are standard, so you aren’t fighting with the wiring for three hours. One thing to keep in mind: these gethot. That’s necessary to stop the mold, but it means you can’t cheap out on the housing. If the fixture isn’t rated for the heat, it’ll warp over time. It’s a bit of a trade-off. You get a dryer, cleaner bathroom, but you need a solid, heat-resistant mount in the ceiling to handle the power. Simple as that.
