The reality of the heat
Getting a high-gloss finish is all about the timing. You need the right ramp-up and a steady soak. If you hit it too hard right at the start, the solvent flashes off way too fast. You end up with bubbles trapped under the surface. But if the heat is too low? The coating just won’t flow. We don’t trust the specs on a brochure. A 2kW shortwave lamp might look perfect on paper, but if your reflector is pitted or your conveyor is dragging, that heat isn’t actually reaching the glass. We measure the real heat flux to see what’s actually happening on your line.
The balancing act
It’s tempting to just crank up the wattage to push more product through the door. But there’s a catch. The hotter you go, the harder your cooling zones have to work to keep the glass from cracking as it cools down. Plus, we have to make sure your electrical panel can actually handle the load. There’s nothing worse than installing a high-output lamp only to have it trip your breakers every twenty minutes. We make sure your wiring and cooling can take the beating before we change a thing.
Why we actually show up in person
A catalog can’t tell me if your lamps are burning out because of vibration or a loose terminal. When we walk your floor, we’re looking for the stuff you might miss—carbon buildup, heat leaks, and places where you’re just throwing money away. By mapping out the thermal profile of your actual equipment, we can tweak the lamp spacing or suggest a different coating to shift the infrared spectrum.
